New Circle Lenses!

In the past week I received 2 new circle lenses that I ordered and I’m so excited to share them with you! I ordered from two different sites and the ordering experiences were quite different… but lets get into it!

  • Ordering: My experience ordering from this site was very average. It was probably my least pleasant experience ordering circle lenses. The site itself was unorganized and not fully developed yet. Clicking on certain links would lead you to nothing. Picking your prescription or power was different because you had to specify in “customer comments” I believe? before you checkout. When I received my lenses they did not come with any lens case… and were put in a different circle lens case box… I was very confused/worried because I thought I had ordered the wrong ones. Luckily they were right and had the right power for both eyes.
  • Shipping: They are located in the US, Texas I believe, but took 5 days.

Popteen Eye Unicorn Brown Lenses

Pal Diameter: 14.5 mm
Diameter: 18.00mm
Base Curve Radius: 8.60mm
C.T: 0.015mm
Water Content: 40%

  • Enlargement 5/5 :Β 18mm!!! These enlarge your eyes dramatically and I love it. Even though they are 18mm they give a very natural enlargement. I would definitely recommend wearing makeup with these lenses because without they could look alien ish.
  • Color 5/5 : Β I picked these lenses specifically because they are 4 tone lenses. The brown has a little bit of a red tint to it that I am obsessed with. Red would seem a bit creepy but it blends so perfectly with dark brown eyes, its subtle and barely noticeable. They also have a pattern around the outer circle that is barely noticeable but adds a cute touch and doesn’t make the lenses look too dolly.
  • Comfort 4.5/5 : Since these lenses are so big they do get a bit uncomfortable towards the end of the day but during they day they are fine! I can see very clearly and I sometimes forget I am wearing them.
  • Overall 5/5 : I really like these circle lenses. The color and enlargement is amazing and they really look great on!

  • Ordering: This site didn’t have a huge selection of circle lenses but they have some really unique circle lenses you wouldn’t find on regular circle lens site. Even though it’s a tiny online boutique ordering was very pleasant and simple! My circle lenses came with 2 lens cases!! One adorable animal case and a basic case! Also everything was wrapped really nicely.
  • Shipping: Shipping only took 3 days! They are located in the US as well.

Dreamcolor1 Goofy Lens Violet

Diameter :14.5mm
Water content: 38%
Base curve :8.6mm

  • Enlargement 5/5 : These lenses are 14.5 mm but I feel like they are more like a 16mm. The enlargement is perfect, they aren’t too big but they’re definitely decent sized.
  • Color 4/5 : My first violet lenses and they are definitely more natural than I expected. I guess I’m not quite used to violet colored lenses yet since I usually wear brown or chocolate colored lenses so these definitely took some time getting used to. The color and butterfly pattern is definitely more noticeable in the sun but when I’m indoors they are very subtle. Hopefully the violet color will grow on me!
  • Comfort 5/5 : Super comfy and so thin!!! I’m actually surprised at how comfortable these lenses are I totally didn’t expect it. I can wear them all day without my eyes getting tired and no blurry vision throughout the day at all! Also they don’t get dry easily which is a plus!!!
  • Overall 4.5/5 : I really like these lenses but I honestly do not see myself wearing them very often. I definitely go for more natural looking lenses and I think I’m going to stick with with brown chocolate and black colored lenses.

You can purchase the lenses here!

I will also add in photos with the lenses on and if you guys recommend any gray colored lenses please let me know I’m looking to try gray colored lenses next! πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoyed this review

My Must Have Lip Liners

So it may seem like I just stole 3 lipliners out of Kylie Jenners make up bag but I seriously use these babies every day. Spice, Soar, and Whirl are all very neutral shades and they seriously would look great on anyone! Also I’ve never been huge on bold lip colors so most of my lipstick collection is very neutral and they pair so well with all three. Sometimes I just wear these lipliners by themselves because the texture just glides on so nicely and they are all extremely pigmented. Here are some great lip combos I use!

Spice- I use spice with more of my nude lipsticks:

  • Velvet Teddy – MAC
  • Creme D Nude – MAC

Soar- Since soar has a the most pink undertone out of the three I use it with my pink lipsticks:

  • Snob – MAC
  • Hot Gossip – MAC
  • Brave – MAC

Whirl- Probably my favorite out of the three I don’t know how to even describe the color it’s like a rosy muave I guess? :

  • Faux – MAC
  • N9 – Make Up For Ever

As you can see I love MAC lip products but I’m really trying to experiment with more different colors and brands. If you guys have any favorites please let me know because I’d love to try them out! πŸ™‚

My Beauty Diary Masks Vs. Face Q Masks

Recently I have added on face masks as new addition to my skin care routine! I would always receive a bunch as gifts from friends and family whenever I would travel to Taiwan but I’ve always been lazy and never got in the habit of using them. The two brands of masks that I have been experimenting with lately are Face Q and My Beauty Diary. My Beauty Diary has been around for a long time and is very well know all over asia. I recently just discovered Face Q masks but they are also pretty well known in Taiwan.

Here are the masks that I’ve used from both brands

Face Q:

  • Ocean and Aloe
  • Grape Seed and Green Tea

My Beauty Diary:

  • Strawberry Yogurt
  • Cooling
  • Sake Yeast

*with this review I will not be reviewing each type of mask but the overall pros and cons of both brands*

>Face Q Pros: These guys fit my face shape really well. I really like it when sheet masks fit well because when they don’t I think that it isn’t evenly distributing product all over my face (personal issue). My skin feels really good after using these masks and they come with so much serum, there is always plenty to rub all over your arms and neck. The morning after using a face q masks I find my complexion rejuvenated, my skin is so smooth, less redness and just glowing πŸ˜€ I find that these masks also have a very light scent to them which is a plus for me because with my sensitive skin strong scented products usually cause my skin to break out.

>Face Q Cons:Β It took me a while to figure out what I do not like about these masks and honestly there is nothing I do not like about them! OneΒ thing, which is not against the mask itself, is I wish these were easier to purchase in the states, I can’t seem to find them anywhere 😦

>My Beauty Diary Pros:Β These masks are great because they have such a wide variety! There is a mask for any skin type and for all different skin needs. They are becoming popular in the states so they are convenient to purchase. I can easily purchase them at a nearby asian market! Each mask comes soaked in serum so your face gets drenched in all the goods and feels great! I find these masks to be very hydrating as well, my mom and I would use my beauty diary masks on long plane rides to keep our skin hydrated. The masks I’ve used all smell really good, but the scent is slightly stronger than face q.

>My Beauty Diary Cons: Unfortunately my beauty diary masks do not fit my face that well. I always struggle because they are slightly big for my face shape. 😦 With the masks I’ve tried so far they haven’t really done anything to help my skin dramatically and the strawberry yogurt mask made me break out a tiny bit. I’m still on the search for a good mask from them for my skin type!

In my opinion Face Q masks win! They just do so much more for my skin and improve the quality of my skin πŸ™‚ I usually use masks 2-3 times a week after I shower before bed. They are so relaxing and really gives your skincare routine a nice boost! Do you like to use sheet masks? If yes please let me know your favorite! πŸ™‚

My Holy Grail Hair Product

I haven’t had a bad hair in so long and it is all because of my beloved holy grail hair product~

Moroccan Oil Treatment πŸ˜€

Before I talk more about the product itself here is a little backgound on my hair :

  • I have very thin hair.
  • My scalp tends to get greasy easily but I have really dry ends because I used to straighten my hair every day in high school.
  • My hair is mostly straight but there is a slight wave to it.
  • Random fact: my hair gets knotted so easily its super irritating 😦

Why I chose this product : After a bad trim I was looking for any type of hair mask or oil to mend split ends and help my hair grow faster!

How I use it : After I shower in the evening I towel dry my hair and pour a little more than a dime size amount into the palm of my hand and then work the product through my hair.

The results : When I wake up in the morning wah la! My hair is always so soft, manageable, and shiny. My hair is so much easier to brush through and I find it easier to straighten as well. Also when I don’t feel like styling my hair it gives my natural hair a gorgeous wave, oh and it also makes your hair smell amazing!!!

Overall : I was honestly very spectacle of using a hair oil at first just because my hair does tend to become oily easily due to my hairs fine texture but surprisingly it doesn’t make my scalp greasy at all. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a hair oil. I have sampled the Josie Maran Argan Oil at Sephora and the Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil but none work like the Moroccan Oil Treatment. If your hair tends to split very easily you’ll love this it mends split ends like butter. I honestly recommend this to anyone because I feel like it can benefit any type of hair in some way.

natural hair

tough to see but hardly any split ends and super shiny πŸ™‚

I have already gone through a bottle so I am currently on my second one! I purchase mine at Nordstroms for $15

If you have a holy grail hair product share it with me! I am always open to trying new products! πŸ™‚

My Daily Skincare Routine

So I have a pretty solid skincare regimen that I have been using for about a year and I’m so happy with it! I had a phase where I would constantly change all my products around but I’m really satisfied with what I have settled down with now πŸ™‚ My day and night routine is only slightly different just because I have learned the more simple the more better for my skin.

So a little background on my skin type: I have sensitive skin, combo oily skin during the summer and I have combo dry skin during the winter! I get mini breakouts here and there but nothing severe. I usually get pimples in the same spots but I don’t use any sort of pimple treatment I just try to wash my face extra clean those days! Lets get started!!

Day Routine:

1. Cleanser : Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser Foaming Formula ($8-9 at most drugstores)

2. Toner : Chanel Lotion Douceur ($45 Nordstroms)

3. Moisturizer : Philosophy Hope In A Jar ($44 smaller bottle $69 larger bottle Nordstroms)

So my day routine is just three easy steps! I love the neutrogena cleanser because its gentle and perfect for my sensitive skin. I use my chanel toner day and night because its super gentle and doesn’t dry out my skin. This toner is great because it does not have alcohol in it which I love! I use Β my hope in a jar moisturizer day and night as well just because it literally makes my skin glow! Also this moisturizer doesn’t make me super oily which is great because my makeup can look good throughout the day without melting off with all the oils. Another reason I am so obsessed with the hope in a jar moisturizer is the texture and how it feels when you apply it on your skin. You can really feel like soak into your skin and there is no lotion-y residue!

Night Routine:

1. Cleansers : Philosophy Purity Cleanser ($36 Nordstroms) / Garnier Clean + Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser ($7 Target)

2. Scrub : St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub + Mask ($3 at Target)

3. Toner : same as above !

4. Moisturizer : same as above !

Before bed I literally dread taking off my make up because I’m so lazy.. so I always look for a 1 step cleansers that can remove make up too. I usually switch off between my purity and garnier, I usually just use whichever one I feel like that night but they both work wonders. Both of these cleansers are more creamy and lotion-y so they don’t foam. I used to always be about foaming cleansers because I felt like they made my face feel cleaner. But was I wrong.. these cleansers strip away all your makeup! Even my super hard to remove Benefit They’re Real mascara. (sometimes I need to use a little extra on the eyes but it gets it all off) I love the consistency of these cleansers because they leave my face feeling baby smooth and not dry. After I cleanse I use a scrub. I’ve always been a fan of st ives products but the apricot scrub was never for me. It was too harsh for my sensitive skin, so when I found the oatmeal one I was iffy at first but it is totally different. The texture of this scrub is so gentle so I use it almost everyday. Also it doubles as a mask which I love

Hope you enjoyed my day and night skin routines! I would love to see what you guys use for your skincare routine! Please share πŸ™‚
